"Same While Different" Series

With this series, I became interested in creating diptychs after noticing how some object or thing, whether in a photograph, painting, or real life, could resemble or mimic something else. In this series of photographic diptychs, I have purposely isolated subjects in each photograph as a means of comparing them to one another. Through the juxtaposition of subjects, I attempt to create work that is humorous and that speaks about perception. Largely, our understanding of the world around us is shaped by assumptions of what we see.
